For characters with distinctive patterned or striped hosiery, specialty costume and dancewear suppliers carry a far wider range of patterns and colors than general fashion retailers — worth checking before assuming a specific pattern needs to be custom-made or painted on.

Keeping Tights Secure Under a Costume

Tights that shift or sag under a costume are a common and avoidable distraction in photos — a silicone-grip waistband, or securing the top edge to a garter belt or the costume's own understructure, keeps them in place through a full day of movement far better than relying on standard elastic alone.
